Weekly Commitment

Transition Bondi is looking for a volunteer to join the Tech Team.

About Transition Bondi

We are a community group, based on the principles of the global Transition Town movement. We run monthly events, and occasional workshops, such as our popular Film & Feast night, a monthly Garden Bee at our community garden and a farmers’ market stall for free bike tune-ups and training, and Inner Transition, fostering self-care and group resilience. Transition Bondi brings people together to share, learn, and be active in creating a more sustainable community and world. We believe addressing the big issues of our time, from food security to dependence on fossil fuels, starts at the local level: here in Bondi.

Role

The Techie role requires potential candidates to have an interest in hosting Zoom events, working the projector/AV when we’re in a live venue and many more technological activities.

Responsibilities

Attend fortnightly Steering Group meetings in Bondi, the second and fourth Thursdays of the month, take minutes and distribute to the group in the following day or two.

Communicate internally and externally – within the team and with Council and other organisations about the work of TB, setting up meetings by doodle.

Skills required

Good communication skills, written and spoken.

Familiarity with using Zoom and the projector/AV is a must.

Other

An interest in the work of Transition Bondi is highly desirable.  We are a lively and well-functioning community environmental group – part of the global Transition Network.

Time commitment: 3-6 hours per week
