This introductory workshop to keeping stingless native bees, in your backyard or workplace, will show you how easy and rewarding it is.  It covers all the basics and will make you fall in love with these amazing creatures that are so vital to our ecosystems.

  •  How to maintain the hive
  •  See inside a native beehive
  •  What’s a ‘hard split’ and ‘Induction split’?
  •  What are their favourite locations and what problems do they face?
  •  Rare chance to taste some of their sweet sugarbag honey.

Please remember to wear a hat, sun protection and closed shoes.

Lance is passionate about native animals, especially native bees. He runs a landscaping business based in the Eastern Suburbs and specialises in edibles and native ecological restoration. He has conducted hundreds of workshops and permaculture-related courses since 2010 in various community groups around Australia.
