IT support specialist

Time commitment: 3-6 hours per week

Role

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled IT Support Specialist to join our team and contribute to the success of our sustainability initiatives in Bondi, Sydney. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth functioning of our digital infrastructure, including website management, cybersecurity, and general IT support.           

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues related to the website’s back end
• Provide assistance with hardware-related issues, such as troubleshooting computers/devices, collaborative tools such as zoom, email clients and project management
• Implement and maintain cybersecurity measures to protect the organisation’s digital assets
• Educate team members on cybersecurity best practices
• Conduct training sessions or workshops for team members on IT tools and best practices
• Create documentation for common IT issues and solutions
• Assist in integrating technology for community events, webinars, or workshops
• Collaborate with the marketing team to implement technical aspects of digital marketing campaigns
• Ensure that digital platforms and content are accessible to individuals with disabilities, promoting inclusivity
• Implement and promote green IT practices to minimise the environmental impact of technology use including e-waste disposal

Skills required

• Proficient in website management, including back-end processes especially WordPress
• Strong knowledge of IT tools, including Zoom and email clients.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
